SPS Paramedics provide first New Zealand evacuations from SAMOA On Friday 2 October following the devastating tsunami SPS Paramedics were requested to assist in the evacuation of the first New Zealanders form Samoa. Non emergency Ambulance services reviewed After a hugely success full trial of non-emergency ambulance services SPS is now completing hundreds of non emergency ambulance jobs every month. The concept was easy says Andrew, Paramedic and Director of SPS Medics. “There was a real need in the aged care sector to deliver non emergency ambulance services that provide timeliness, caring and professional response to patients needs. This means that each and every customer is treated with dignity and respect. That each patient is taken into the “care’ of our paramedics who carry that duty of care until they are handed over to medical staff at their destination.” “It is not acceptable to say that because it is a non emergency job that the customer should receive any less customer service or professional care.” “Each month the amount of jobs has been increasing this is because of word of mouth and appreciation that rest homes, care givers, charitable trusts and customers that talk about the great service they received.” “As the credit crises continues there has been an ever increasing need for individuals, rest homes and hospitals to look at the way they spend their precious dollars. Because we donate back to the community we are able to provide services that are a minimum of twenty percent less expensive than our competitors.” “As request for our services our coming from all around New Zealand we will be embarking on development of operations through out New Zealand”
